Hosting and content delivery
This website is hosted on a server located in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH). For delivery and protection against abuse, we additionally use Cloudflare as a content-delivery and proxy service (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). This involves transmitting connection data, including your IP address, to Cloudflare. Cloudflare also processes this data in the US; as a safeguard, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework apply.
Server logs
When you visit this website, we automatically record information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, and the browser used (user agent). This data is used exclusively to keep the site running securely, for example to detect attacks, and is never combined with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation of the website, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies or any analytics or tracking tool. Your browser only stores your language choice (German/English) in localStorage; this is purely functional and does not allow any conclusions about you personally.
Fonts
All fonts are served locally from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other external font provider.
Contacting us
If you contact us by email, for example via [email protected], we process the data you provide, including your email address and message, in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request relates to entering into a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA).
